Blazers camp ready to get started

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers will host a goaltender camp that begins Tuesday, August 22nd to start the 2016-17 training camp. Rookie camp will begin on Friday, August 25th. 

The goaltender camp will be led by Kamloops Blazers Goaltender Coach, Dan De Palma and local goaltending product Lucas Gore.

Returnees Dylan Ferguson and Max Palaga will participate this week along with 19-year-old Kyle Dumba who was acquired from the Calgary Hitmen earlier this summer.

The Blazers will also have 16-year-old listed goaltenders Blake Wood and Rayce Ramsay along with 15-year-old Dylan Garand participate this week.     

The ice times for the goaltenders will be 1:00pm – 4:15pm on Tuesday, August 23rd and from 9:00am-12:15pm August 24th and 25th. All ice sessions will be at McArthur Island Sports Centre.

Rookie camp will begin with registration on Friday, August 25th with ice sessions starting at 10:15am. Rookie camp will conclude on Saturday, August 26th with main camp commencing on Sunday, August 27th.

Main camp scrimmages will run on August 27th and 28th, and the annual Blue vs. White intra-squad game will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 7:00pm at the McArthur Island Sports Centre.

Tickets to the Blue vs. White game are only $6 and are available at the Kamloops Blazers Box Office. 

All training camp ice sessions will be held at the McArthur Island Sports Centre and are free to attend.
