KAMLOOPS — The Emergency Social Services (ESS) Reception Centre for evacuees coming to Kamloops is on the move once again.

As of Saturday evening, the centre will be located at Sandman Centre on Lorne Street.

Officials say that will better coordinate with the hundreds of new cots set up inside the arena.

According to a release, nearly 500 cots are set up in Sandman Centre, and the Thompson-Nicola Regional District is looking to expand capacity by another 200 beds.
