KAMLOOPS —  On the highways this morning, there is single lane alternating traffic on the Trans Canada east of Canoe because of a mud slide.

Similarly, at the East boundary of Glacier National Park, single lane alternating traffic.

Crews have reopened highway 8,  300 meters east of Lower Nicola at Aberdeen Road  to single lane alternating traffic.

But as of 3:00 AM this morning, highway 8 was still closed by that washout 25 kilometers west of Merritt.

Emergency vehicles only can access the road. It's expected to stay closed at least for most of today.

Highway 97D is closed 10 kilometers east of the junction with Highway 97C in Logan Lake because of a washout. No estimated time of reopening.

Complete details and updates are available on the Drive B.C. website. A number of other roads around the Interior are also having problems, so be sure and check your route before heading out.
