KAMLOOPS — With snow on the ground greeting many Kamloops residents as they woke up this morning, RCMP are reminding commuters to adjust their driving behaviour.

Corporal Jodi Shelkie says it’s not as easy as it might seem.

“I say It’s like getting your sea-legs when you go on a boat. You often don’t realize how hard it is to walk on a boat, until you are there. Same thing when the snow comes, drivers don’t realize just how different the driving conditions are,” stated Shelkie.

Shelkie says the top three tips for drivers are to stay alert, slow down and stay in control.
