Vigilante group snares BC Interior sheriff

KAMLOOPS — An Okanagan-based vigilante group says it has successfully lured a man who wanted to have sex with an underage girl.

And Creep Hunters says their latest catch was a man who works as a sheriff for the province’s Ministry of Justice here in the Interior.

CFJC Today will not identify the man, but Creep Hunters has several photos he sent the group, even though it had been acting under the guise of a 14 year old girl.

Included in what the man sent are photos of himself in his BC Sheriffs uniform, and photos of his genitals.

Late Monday the Ministry of Justice issued the following statement “The Court Services Branch learned of this allegation with regard to one of its deputy sheriffs. The Branch takes these allegations very seriously. We can confirm that this employee is not at the work site, and the Branch is following the appropriate process. We are not at liberty to discuss this matter further.” 

The RCMP say they’re also aware of the story but didn’t say if they would be investigating it.

The RCMP go on to say that such investigations should be left to the police.
