KAMLOOPS — After the city put the finishing touches on a fresh layer of asphalt on Notre Dame Drive, the next major construction is underway on the North Shore.

Work started on Tranquille Road between 8th and 13th Streets on Monday and will last until August. It’s a stretch of road that’s in bad need of repairs.

“Being an arterial that sees a lot of heavy truck traffic and a lot of traffic, we really didn’t touch much of Tranquille and Fortune during the Overlanders Bridge project last year,” says Streets & Environmental Services Manager Glen Farrow.
