KAMLOOPS — Life is good in Kamloops.

That’s what data collected in the 2016 Citizen survey suggests, with 94 per cent of residents rating quality of life as very good or good.

However, that’s down from 2012 by four per cent.

The survey, which is completed every three years, will be presented to city council tomorrow, May 31.

The survey compiles data on top-of-mind issues, quality of life, service satisfaction, taxation, and revenue.

According to its findings, 86 per cent of city residents are somewhat or very satisfied with services offered by Kamloops, and 78 per cent of respondents say they receive good or fairly good value for their tax dollars.

The Ajax Mine is the issue residents most want local leaders to address, followed by infrastructure, and parks, recreation and culture.

Survey data was collected in January and February. A total of 409 surveys were completed.
