KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops SPCA is making one final push toward its fundraising goal for a new building.

The non-profit needs to raise 1.2-million dollars in order to have the financial wherewithal to pay for a planned 4.8-million dollar shelter.

BC SPCA CEO Craig Daniell says the new facility is much needed.

“A new facility, we believe, is going to be able to provide greater widths of services for the folks in Kamloops. We are really excited that we are in the last phase, and hopefully we can get shovels in the ground by the end of the year,” said Daniell.
