CLINTON, B.C. — A man has died in a crash north of Clinton today.

RCMP say just before the noon hour, a vehicle travelling on Highway 97 just one kilometre north of the community crossed the centre line and collided with two others.

A 65 year old man who was behind the wheel of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cpl. Dave Tyreman says RCMP are looking into why the initial vehicle crossed the centre line.

“To help us out, if anybody was driving by the area and they saw several people nearby or felt that everything was looked after… if you saw the way one of these vehicles were operating, if any of them were being driven erratically, please give us a call at the Clinton RCMP detachment,” said Tyreman.

Five other people were injured, with three of them taken to hospital for treatment.

None of their injuries were life-threatening.
