Green Party leader in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — The leader of the Green Party Andrew Weaver will be at Friday’s Ajax meeting. He’s in Kamloops for the weekend to learn more about the Tournament Capital and the issues concerning residents, with the proposed mine being near the top of the list.

Weaver has been given a tour of the Ajax mine site by the proponent KGHM, and while many assume the Green Party is against resource development, Weaver just wants to learn more about the project being taking a side.

On Saturday, Weaver will be touring Ajax from the other side, with local environmentalist Tony Brummel showing him the area.
