KAMLOOPS — It’s known simply as the Christmas house. Located at 6th and Pine, it’s been a staple for those looking for a little holiday cheer in the city. Louise Edwards has been going all out for the holidays, decorating her downtown property for over 25 years.

For Louise Edwards, there are never enough lights. She and her husband Ron have been decorating their home for Christmas at 6th and Pine for as long as they have lived in it. The commitment to decorating keeps her busy for much of the year.

Decorating isn’t just about spreading holiday cheer; it’s also a cathartic process for Louise. she works as a counselor, and says when she began, the decorations were a way for her relieve some of the burden her work placed on her.
