CHASE, B.C. —  RCMP are on the hunt for a suspect after an armed bank robbery in Chase November 30th.

At about 1:30 on Monday afternoon, a lone male entered the bank with firearm, pointed it at employees and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers were not able to track the suspect down, but they are looking for a white GMC Suburban SUV that may have been involved.

At about the same time, Chase RCMP officers rushed to Scotch Creek after the report of shots fired.

Nothing came of that call, and Sgt. Gary Heebner of the Chase RCMP says the call may have been a diversion, simply meant to siphon officers away from the robbery.

The suspect is described as 5’10” tall, between 180 and 190 pounds. He was wearing a white Fox sweater with a multicolored balaclava.
