Verdict reached in Damien Taylor’s trial

The same day a Supreme Court jury was charged in deciding the fate of 24 year old Damien Taylor who is charged with second degree murder, there is a verdict.

The 11 person jury has found Taylor guilty of second degree murder.

Taylor was charged in the 2012 death of his girlfriend CJ Fowler. 16 year old Fowler’s body was discovered beneath a concrete slab near Guerin Creek.

During the trial which lasted over two weeks — Taylor admitted to ingesting crystal meth among other drugs during the week leading up to Fowler’s death. He said he blacked out and woke up to find Fowler dead next to him. He says he panicked and left on a bus to Prince George where he was first interviewed by Police.
