Vehicle incident halts Highway 5 North traffic south of Vavenby

UPDATE (1:00 p.m.): Highway 5 North near Vavenby has partially reopened to single-lane-alternating traffic.

DriveBC says drivers should expect minor delays to allow vehicle recovery work to take place between K P Road and Lloyd Road.

Drivers are also asked to slow down watch for workers on the road.

The next update is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. Monday.

EARLIER: VAVENBY, B.C. — A stretch of Highway 5 North is closed in both directions Monday (Jan. 6) morning.
