Newman is currently serving as the Director of Offensive Strategy and Analytics at UC Berkeley, while Slominski is the Head Infield Coach and Assistant Pitching Coach at Scottsdale Community College.

“I’m very excited to come back to Kamloops and help the next batch of college baseball players develop their skillset and knowledge of the game in any way I can help,” Newman said in a statement.

“I’m super excited to get up to Kamloops this summer,” Slominski added. “We have a great group of guys coming in and I’m excited to get to work and win some ballgames.”

The Kamloops NorthPaws will open the 2025 West Coast League (WCL) season on the road in Port Angeles on May 30. Their first home game at Norbrock Stadium is scheduled for Friday, June 6 against the Kelowna Falcons.

The team says more information on tickets and schedules will be coming this month.
