Salvation Army Kettle campaign hits 90 per cent of fundraising goal
KAMLOOPS — It’s the final push for the Salvation Army in Kamloops as its annual kettle campaign draws to a close this week.
Major Orest Goyak says they’ve raised $216,000 so far this year, which puts the campaign at 90 per cent of the original $240,000 goal.
“It is quite a big jump over the last few days,” Goyak said. “I guess people heard were were falling behind and folks jumped up. We’re very optimistic that we’ll come very very close, if not hitting that goal.”
There are two days to go in this year’s kettle campaign, which wraps up on Christmas Eve.
