Colombo Lodge Society raises $35,000 for cancer care service in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — Members of the Colombo Lodge made a notable donation to help improve cancer care services in Kamloops.
The Colombo Lodge Society presented the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) Foundation with a $35,000 cheque. In a news release issued Monday (Dec. 9), the society says the funds were raised through its Spring Fling event.
“The RIH Foundation extends its sincerest thanks to the Colombo Lodge Society for their inspiring generosity and unwavering dedication to improving cancer care services at Royal Inland Hospital. Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of patients and families in our community,” RIH states.
The Colombo Lodge Society set a goal of raising $100,000 over five years to bolster cancer care services in Kamloops. The inaugural Spring Fling banquet in 2023 raised $25,000.
