KAMLOOPS — One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle in a gas station parking lot on the North Shore.
In a news release, Kamloops RCMP says officers received a call from the 200-block of Tranquille Road at around 4:40 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 27) when a vehicle struck the person while they were sitting against a wall. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
Several members of the public have identified the location as the Canco gas station.
“A visible police presence is in the area as officers investigate the collision,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson says. “The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.”
