Snowfall warning issued for the Cariboo; heavy snow expected Thursday
WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — A snowfall warning is in effect for the Cariboo region for the remainder of the week.
Starting Wednesday (Nov. 27) and lasting through to Friday, Environment Canada says snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 centimetres is expected.
The weather agency credits a low-pressure system over the Gulf of Alaska that will bring snow to parts of northern and central B.C., including the Cariboo from Quesnel to Williams Lake.
“Period of light snow on Wednesday will transition to more consistent snowfall tonight,” Environment Canada states. “Snowfall may be heavy at times on Thursday. The system will move out of the region by Friday midday.”
