Blazers drop 5-3 decision to B.C. Division leading Cougars
PRINCE GEORGE — Riley Heidt had a pair of goals and an assist as the Prince George Cougars beat the Kamloops Blazers 5-3 Friday night, Nov. 22.
Terik Parascak also had a three point night for the Cougars who continue to lead the BC Division with a 13-5-3-2 record, while the Blazers dropped to 11-11-1.
Kai Matthew opened the scoring for the Blazers early in the first period with a shot from the left circle finding its way past Cougars goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen.
Goals from Parascak in the first as well as as Heidt and Jett Lajoie in the second had the Cougars up by two goals though Jordan Keller’s power play marker made it 3-2 after 40 minutes.
