November 9, 1940 – November 9, 2024   

Mr. Fred Postnikoff passed away peacefully at home in Kamloops, B.C. on November 9, 2024, at the age of 84 in the arms of his loving wife Ruth. 

Lovingly remembered by Children Lori (Bryan), Alvin, and Kelly (Dean); Grandchildren Ashley (Thomas), Amber (Drew), Melissa (Mario), Blake (Alina), and Shayne (Kayla); 11 great grandchildren; Brothers Pete and Mike; and Sisters Linda and Olga. He was predeceased by sister Elisa. 

Fred was born in Champion Creek, B.C. in 1940, and spent the majority of his life there. In 1985 he married Ruth and they lived together in Ootischenia/Thrums until 2021. During those years he helped raise Lori and Alvin, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Fred loved picking huckleberries, gardening, hunting and cooking for his family. He will be missed for his kind and generous heart. 

A celebration of life will be held in the late spring of 2025 in Castlegar, B.C.
