SALMON ARM, B.C. — The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) Board of Directors has a new chair.
At the CSRD’s inaugural meeting Thursday (Nov. 21), former vice-chair Natalya Melnychuk was acclaimed as the new chair of the board, succeeding Kevin Flynn.
Melnychuk was elected the director for the newly formed Area ‘G’ — which encompasses Blind Bay, Sorrento and Notch Hill — in 2022.
Flynn, a Salmon Arm city councillor, will swap chairs with Melnychuk, as he was elected vice-chair at the same meeting, defeating Area ‘E’ Director Rhona Martin on a second vote. Flynn has chaired the board since 2019.
