RCMP remain at north Kamloops house after reported shooting

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP remain on scene at a house in the 1700-block of Parkcrest Avenue this morning, Nov. 16, though the details around their operation which began last night remain unclear.

Mounties had the section of Parkcrest Avenue between Holt and Laroque streets closed to traffic for several hours Friday night, Nov. 15. There was also a police presence at Parkcrest and Singh, but eastbound traffic on Parkcrest was able to travel between Holt and Singh streets.

While people are able to pass through on Parkcrest this morning, the house in question is currently behind yellow police tape. Pictures from the scene sent to CFJC Today also show a smashed window and two marked police vehicles parked outside.

Some residents in that part of Brocklehurst took to social media last night to report hearing what sounded like a gun shot fired and a person screaming for help. Those details have not yet been confirmed by police.
