Traffic snarled in north Kamloops due to multiple incidents

KAMLOOPS — UPDATE (7:15 p.m.): Kamloops RCMP continue to remain on scene across parts of the North Shore Friday evening, Nov. 15, but details about their activities remain unknown at this time.

As of this update, Parkcrest Avenue remained closed to traffic between Holt and Laroque streets, with the majority of drivers heading to or from Brocklehurst having to divert around the area.

It’s unclear what the nature of the incident is, but witnesses also report seeing ambulances and fire trucks in that part of north Kamloops earlier in the evening.

A crash on Fortune Drive near the intersection with Sydney Avenue that was causing traffic tie-ups on the evening commute home had been cleared, though it remains unclear if anyone was injured.
