KAMLOOPS — It was all treat, no trick, for a Kamloops man who became half a million dollars richer in October.
In a news release issued Wednesday (Nov. 13), British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) announced that Cory Turner won $500,000 on Oct. 18, 2024, after finding out he matched four out of four Extra numbers.
“I thought, ‘Did I really win?’ I had to check my PlayNow account a few times,” Turner states.
Turner says he and his family were all excited following the $500,000 win. According to BCLC, he celebrated the fortune over dinner. He plans to buy a new truck and put most of the prize away for retirement.
