Salmon Arm man with arrest warrants taken into custody, charged with dangerous driving
SALMON ARM, B.C.— A 38-year-old man with numerous active warrants was arrested in Salmon Arm over the weekend.
In a news release issued Wednesday (Nov. 13), Salmon Arm RCMP say William Travis Young is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, flight from police and obstruction.
The charges stem from Saturday (Nov. 9) when police saw Young driving an orange Kia Seltos on Fifth Street SE. He reportedly ran away when police attempted to arrest him.
Shortly after, RCMP say Young was seen driving the same Seltos and sped away. Police responded to a nearby home the man was known to frequent and found the Seltos parked there.
