Major work complete on Lansdowne Street corridor in downtown Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — Traffic is flowing freely on Lansdowne Street in downtown Kamloops once again after more than six months of construction.
In a post to social media Sunday (Nov. 10), the City of Kamloops states all major work has been completed on the City Centre Sanitary Upgrades project.
The work to upgrade the city’s sanitary sewer system in the downtown core by installing a trunk sewer main on Lansdowne Street from First Avenue to Seventh Avenue began in late April. Multiple blocks of Lansdowne were closed at various times throughout the spring, summer and fall as construction shifted east.
The Landsdowne Transit Exchange returned to its original location at 650 Lansdown St. Monday (Nov. 11) after temporarily relocating to between the 400-block and 600-block of St. Paul Street during the final stage of construction.
