WolfPack women’s basketball team can’t hang on to halftime lead, fall to T-Wolves 61-51

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson Rivers University (TRU) WolfPack women’s basketball team is still searching for their first win of the 2024-25 Canada West season.

The WolfPack fell to the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves in Prince George 61-51. TRU held a seven-point lead at halftime but were outscored 35-16 in the second half.

Fourth-year guard Danijela Kovacevic led the WolfPack in scoring with 13 points (five-for-11 shooting) off the bench. She added six assists, five rebounds and three steals.

The WolfPack are 0-2 to start the season. Next up is a home game Friday, Nov. 8, against the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds. Tipoff is at 5:30 p.m. from the Tournament Capital Centre.
