VIDEO: Fire sparks on shoreline of Thompson River near Mission Flats Road

Kamloops Fire Rescue appears to have made short work of a landscape fire that burned before 10 a.m. on Sunday (Nov. 3) on the shoreline of the Thompson River near the 800-block of Mission Flats Rd.

River City resident Hillary Rockvam provided video of the blaze and witnessed KFR heading to the fire.

She told CFJC Today a passing train temporarily blocked KFR crews from accessing the fire, which is no longer burning.

KFR has been contacted for comment.
