One dead in single-vehicle rollover near Big Bar

CLINTON, B.C. — RCMP in Clinton say a single-vehicle crash in the Big Bar area last week was fatal.

According to a news release issued over the weekend, an officer was called out at about 4:00 p.m. last Tuesday (Oct. 15) to a location off High Bar Road, two kilometres east of the west junction with Big Bar Road.

Once on scene, the constable found a truck at the bottom of a ravine.

Investigators believe the truck was travelling westbound on High Bar Road when it left the road and rolled down into the gully.

South Cariboo Search and Rescue volunteers were called in when daylight returned Wednesday.
