Landsdowne Transit Exchange to be moved to St. Paul Street during final construction phase

KAMLOOPS — The Landsdowne Transit Exchange will be relocated to between the 400-block and 600-block of St. Paul Street during Stage 5 of the City Centre Sanitary Upgrades Project, which is slated to begin on Monday (Oct. 21).

Traffic will be permitted through the corridor, but on-street parking will not be available in bus zones, according to a City of Kamloops media release.

The release notes the project that began seven months ago is expected to be complete by Nov. 15.

Lansdowne Street from Sixth Avenue to Eighth Avenue will be closed during Stage 5 and motorists are encouraged to detour via Victoria Street.

Local-traffic-only access will be permitted for specific businesses within the 600-block and 800-block of Lansdowne Street, including anyone wishing to attend a business within the construction area, according to the release.

The release notes westbound heavy trucks are prohibited within the City Centre Sanitary Upgrades Project construction work zone.
