TRU Wolfpack join South Sahali Elementary in annual Terry Fox Run

KAMLOOPS – Although the official day is on September 15th, fundraising for cancer research is still going on as South Sahali Elementary School held its annual Terry Fox Run Thursday (Sept. 26).

The school has been taking part in the run for more than 20 years. Thursday morning, students gathered in the gymnasium to learn about the history of the Terry Fox Run and what the fundraising goes toward. South Sahali is halfway to its goal of $1,200.

Some special guests joined students as members of the TRU men’s soccer team took part in the warmup and then the run. A chance for the players to meet some new faces and hang out with some students.

“We had three other guys join us from the WolfPack men’s soccer team and just really want to be a part of the community, show your face, and be around the kids and stuff,” said the WolfPack’s Domenico Comita. “It’s really awesome.”
