Category 2 fire restriction coming off in Cariboo Fire Centre Friday

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Category 2 open burning will be allowed within the Cariboo Fire Centre as of noon Friday (Sept. 27).
The B.C. Wildfire Service says Category 1 campfires will also be allowed within the Tsilhqot’in Declared Title Area. The campfire ban had been lifted for the remainder of the fire centre earlier in the season.
Anyone lighting a fire of any size is advised to check with their local government authority to see if there are any applicable restrictions in place.
