KAMLOOPS — The holder of a $1 million Lotto Max ticket that was purchased in Kamloops has been identified.

In a news release issued Tuesday (Sept. 24), British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC) says Kamloops resident Roland Schindel triple-checked the ticket he purchased at Super Save Gas on Westsyde Road.

Schindel says he and his wife were shocked when they learned the Quick Pick numbers on his ticket matched a Maxmillions prize from the Sept. 17, 2024, draw.

“My first thought was, ‘It must be a mistake,’” Schindel says. “I checked it over three times before I called my wife over to double-check the numbers. She didn’t believe me even after she read the numbers online.”
