KAMLOOPS — Canada’s largest-ever lottery jackpot of $80 million will be split between two ticket buyers in Ontario and Quebec, but someone who purchased a ticket in Kamloops has also become a new millionaire.

According to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation’s (BCLC) PlayNow website, a ticket purchased in Kamloops with numbers 1, 26, 27, 30, 40, 42 and 43 won a Maxmillions prize of $1 million during Tuesday’s Lotto Max (Sept. 17) draw.

BCLC says Lotto Max is a twice weekly lottery game with jackpots that start at $10 million and can grow up to $80 million. Once a jackpot reaches $50 million, there are additional prizes of $1 million up for grabs.

Tuesday’s Lotta Max draw had 23 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million up for grabs.
