RCMP looking for missing man who fell in Fraser River near Lillooet
LILLOOET, B.C. — Lillooet RCMP are asking for the public’s help in finding a missing man who had fallen into the Fraser River.
On Sept. 6 at around 5:15 p.m., RCMP say a caller reported a man had fallen into the river near the 6 Mile fishing grounds off Highway 99 in Lillooet.
According to witnesses, Randall Alvis Ned was fishing with a dip net when the current pulled on his fishing tool and took him into the water.
In a news release issued Monday (Sept. 16) night, RCMP say Lillooet Road Rescue helped with an aerial drone patrol, while the Department of Fisheries carried out a water search by boat. Pemberton Search and Rescue also responded with a helicopter and water search
