Blazers blast Rockets in WHL pre-season play

KAMLOOPS — Tommy Lafreniere and Oren Shtrom had two goals apiece for the Kamloops Blazers in a 9-3 blowout victory over the Kelowna Rockets in WHL pre-season action on Friday (Sept. 6) at Sandman Centre.

Layton Feist, Kai Matthew, Jordan Keller, Conner Radke and Nathan Behm also had goals for the Blazers.

Logan Edmonstone and Madex Kabrud split time between the pipes for Kamloops, which outshot Kelowna 50-25.

The Rockets will host the rematch on Saturday.

Kabrud, 16, signed a WHL Scholarship Agreement with the Blazers on Friday.
