Man arrested after reportedly assaulting two women in North Shore home
KAMLOOPS — A man was arrested after an assault on the North Shore Saturday (Aug. 31) morning.
Kamloops RCMP say officers were called to a home on Fortune Drive just before 9:00 a.m. for a report that two women had been assaulted inside.
In a news release issued Saturday morning, RCMP say a 22-year-old fled from the home with two small children.
“Kamloops RCMP frontline and Police Dog Services officers flooded the area in an effort to locate the suspect and children, combing nearby locations and causing minor disruptions to traffic on the bridges leading from the North Shore,” S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet states.
