September 3, 1937 – August 16, 2024   

Florence Riley, loving mother and wife sadly passed away on August 16, 2024, just a couple weeks short of her 87th birthday. Florence was born in Canora, Saskatchewan in 1937 to William and Margaret Orell. In 1957, she moved to Kamloops, B.C. after marrying Roman Strocen. On August 4, 1984, she was married to her lifelong love, Terry Riley. Shortly after, the couple relocated to Sidney, B.C. where they worked and lived. 

Florence loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was actively involved with the Ukrainian Women’s Association of Canada and was proud of her recognition in 2017 for 49 years of dedication and work. 

Florence Riley will be missed by all who knew her, family, friends and members of her church.
