A severe thunderstorm watch is in place for the Nicola, Shuswap and South Thompson regions, according to Environment Canada.
The watch was issued before 11 a.m. on Sunday and notes conditions are favourable for the development of dangerous thunderstorms that may be capable of producing damaging wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain.
There is a heightened risk of debris flows over areas impacted by burn scars.
