Chilcotin Confluence South area evacuation order rescinded

The evacuation order issued in the Chilcotin Confluence South area that was issued on Aug. 4 was rescinded on Wednesday (Aug. 14) afternoon.

Residents may return to the area, according to a media release from the Cariboo Regional District.

Landslide and river assessment is continuous and ongoing in the area.

Residents are asked to avoid interfering with any monitoring activity and stay aware of the potential for additional slides or flooding.
