Interior Health: Relocated Ashcroft residents going home

Ashcroft residents who were evacuated on July 19 by Interior Health due to threat from the Shetland Creek wildfire are going home on Saturday (Aug. 10), according to an Interior Health media release.

As a precautionary measure, Interior Health relocated 21 residents from Jackson House long-term care home and five clients from Thompson View Lodge assisted living facility to alternate locations away from the impacted area.

Anyone wishing to confirm their loved one’s current location can call 1-833-469-9800.

Call centre operating hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Friday.
