Lillooet emergency department closed once more due to “limited physician availability”

LILLOOET, B.C. — For the second time in as many days, the emergency department in Lillooet is temporarily closed.
Interior Health states the emergency department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre will be temporarily closed from 7:00 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 6) to 8:00 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 7) due to “limited physician availability.”
Patients in Lillooet and area in need of emergency care are asked to call 9-1-1 or visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during the closure.
It’s the third temporary closure of Lillooet’s emergency department in 2024.
