Criss Creek wildfire northwest of Kamloops being held: BC Wildfire Service

The Criss Creek wildfire burning about five kilometres northwest of the Lac Du Bois Grasslands Protected Area is being held, according to an update on Saturday (July 27) afternoon on the BC Wildfire Service website.

Lightning is the suspected cause of the blaze, which is 5.5 hectares in size and about 21 kilometres northwest of Kamloops.

The designation of being held means the fire is expected to remain within its current perimeter based on projected fuel, weather conditions and resource availability.
