Facts of Life Revival Derailed

Mindy Cohn revealed that a potential revival of The Facts Of Life was derailed by a co-star’s attempt to set up her own spinoff. Executive producer Norman Lear expressed interest in a revival after the success of a December 2021 ABC re-enactment of the show. Cohn, Kim Fields, Lisa Whelchel, and Nancy McKeon were considering the project, even hiring a writer. “One of the girls … went behind our backs and tried to make a separate deal for a spinoff just for herself and devastated the rest of us,” Cohn shared in a new Sirius/XM interview.

Despite not naming the individual, Cohn expressed disappointment and said any chance of a revival is now off-the-table due to the drama. “We were united for 40 years over not talking about each other, not doing dirty, ‘all for one, one for all,’ and this kind of wrecked that, which is sad,” Cohn lamented. “Really sad.”
