Two-hectare wildfire near Red Lake discovered Monday afternoon

KAMLOOPS — The BC Wildfire Service website is noting a two-hectare blaze was discovered on Monday (July 22) a few kilometres east of Red Lake near the Blue Road forest service road in the Kamloops Fire Centre.
Burning to the west of Tranquille River near Sylvester Falls, the out-of-control fire is about 10 kilometres northwest of the Lac Du Bois Grasslands protected area.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
