Merritt emergency room to be closed again Sunday: Interior Health

MERRITT, B.C. — The emergency department at Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt will be subject to another 26-hour closure — its second in three days and fifth of July.

In a news release, Interior Health says the emergency room will be closed starting at 6:00 a.m. Sunday (July 21) and reopen at 8:00 a.m. Monday.

The closure is attributed to limited physician availability.

Those in need of emergency medical care are advised to call 9-1-1 or attend the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
