Merritt’s emergency department subject to 26-hour closure

MERRITT, B.C. — Interior Health has announced a 26-hour closure at the emergency department at Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt.

The closure is set to begin at 6:00 a.m. Friday (July 19) and last until 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.

In a news release, IH says the closure is due to limited physician availability.

Patients in need of emergency medical care are advised to either call 9-1-1 or visit the emergency department at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
