Merritt ER scheduled to reopen Friday morning after latest temporary closure

MERRITT — The Nicola Valley Hospital’s emergency department is scheduled to open later this morning (July 12), after a temporary overnight closure.

Interior Health says the latest service interruption in Merritt was set to take place between 10 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. Friday.

Those in need of care are told to head to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during that timeframe.

All other inpatient services are continuing as normal at the facility.
