On July 2, 2024 the world lost a beautiful soul.
Melita Lynne Van Tine passed away at Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Memorial Hospice Home from a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.
Melita fought her cancer battle hard, but it was a fight she could not win.
Melita is survived by her Husband of 40 years, Kim Van Tine, her 3 Daughters Jenna Pisarczyk (Brad), Shayna Van Tine (Dylan Marlow), Kristina Van Tine (Matthew Jones). Melita is also survived by her Mother Cheryl Marshall, Step-Mother Diane Webb, Brother Russell Webb and an estranged sister. Melita had 2 Grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kassidy and Thomas Pisarczyk. Melita was predeceased by her Father Lloyd Webb.
Melita grew up in Little Fort, graduated in Barriere, moved to Kamloops, raised her family in Lac Le Jeune and eventually moved to Cache Creek. Melita was a beautiful, warm and generous person. She loved life and loved people.
Melita spent most of her working years in the pipeline and mining industries. Working for Trans Mountain, Federated and Pembina Pipelines, Numac Energy Inc. and most recently New Gold Afton Mine. Melita adored her co-workers and was an adored and dedicated employee. Melita was a proud band member of Kamloops Indian Band, and was very proud of her ancestry. Melita was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all.
